Stereotypically, people often say that men don’t take good care of their skin or know how. Are you making one of these common mistakes?

1.) Not changing your razors regularly

Not changing your razors regularly means that you’ll be shaving your face (and other areas of your body) with a dull and dirty blade. The longer you use a razor, the more bacteria, dead skin cells, shaving cream, and hair crops up in there. That goes double if you’re also not rinsing well in between strokes. The bacteria can lead to breakouts and acne.

2.) Not using a specially formulated wash for your face

If you’re using body wash or hand soap to wash your face, stop! You should be using a face wash. This is because body wash is harsher than face wash and can dry out your skin. When your skin is dry, it overproduces oils which can cause acne. In addition, you should moisturize after washing your face. Moisturizing your face can also help prevent acne and keep skin looking healthy.

3.) Not using sunscreen

Using sunscreen on your face is one of the easiest things you can do to help prevent aging! Studies show that using sunscreen helps damaged skin to heal and prevent further damage. Long term, this will mean your skin will look younger and will continue to look younger if you use sunscreen consistently.
